A Letter from the President
Hurrican Man specializes in hurricane and security products for
home and commercial applications. Our company is a participating FP&L
contractor and proud member of the Manatee,
Sarasota, Venice and Charlotte Chambers’ of Commerce.
We manufacture Dade County Code Compliant and Southern Building Code Compliant
Accordion Shutters, Roll-Up Shutters, Storm Catcher Wind Abatement System,
Roll-Up Storm Catcher, Aluminum Panels, Clear Lexan Panels, Bahama Shutters,
Colonial Shutters, Fort Hurricane Screens, Hurricane Garage Doors, Exeter
Wind Screens as well as Security and Solar Window Film. As you most likely
know, Dade County and Southern Building Code authorities have set the most
stringent rules governing hurricane protection standards. These standards
are for your customer’s protection. Many of our products have been
tested in excess of these standards.
Most people who have already protected their windows and doors have neglected
the largest opening in the home… the garage door. Left unprotected,
it is typically the first opening to fail. We distribute Dade County Approved
DAB Hurricane Master Garage Doors, recognized as the finest in the industry.
In addition, we distribute one of the only “fit all” Garage
Door bracing systems available today.
We carry Vista brand Hurricane and Solar window film. This is the only window
film accepted and approved by the Interior Designers Association. The film
is available in “optically clear” or tinted without distorting
your picture whatsoever. This product was originally designed for bomb blasts
and is widely used in most or all of our government buildings including
the U.S. Embassies around the world. This film enables your customer’s
glass to ward off flying projectiles and, at the same time contains ultra-violet
inhibitors to prevent fading of furniture, draperies, carpet etc.
As we are all becoming more aware, Florida is one of the most disaster prone
areas on earth due to Hurricanes and Tropical Storms. It is not “if
we get hit” it is when!!!
